Flute Teaching

Lowell Morris is an experienced teacher and flute performer, who is well versed in all styles: classical, popular, jazz and Celtic. He has studied flute with Brenda Fedoruk (Principal Flute of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra; CBC Vancouver Orchestra); Paul Douglas (former Chair UBC School of Music Winds Dept); and Arvid Grants (formerly with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra). He is also a professional music composer, with a music composing degree from Simon Fraser Univeristy. He brings an in-depth knowledge of music theory to his flute instruction. Lowell's teaching style is both relaxed and enthusiastic, focussing on the on the student and the joy of creating music.
